Anita Arkutu

Anita Keteku Arkutu is a private Legal Practitioner.  She has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and French from Davidson College in North Carolina, USA and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Vanderbilt University School of Law in Tennessee, USA.

Anita acquired her practicing licenses in both Maryland and Washington, D.C. in 2004 and provided legal investigative consultancy services to several Washington D.C. metro area law firms in the ensuing years.  Her work spanned violations of the FCPA Act, the Sarbanes Oxley Act and violations of U.S. GAAP laws.  In March 2011, Anita moved back home to Ghana where she was appointed General Manager and later, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Blackwell Realty Limited, a multimillion dollar real estate development company with significant holdings across the capital.  Anita secured her legal practicing certificate for the Republic of Ghana during this period. 

Her practice in Ghana has been focused on corporate law with a specialty in real estate, commercial contract negotiations, drafting and review.  She has supported foreign companies and their local partners to structure investment partnership agreements in transactions that have introduced cutting edge technology to Ghana, and thereby contributed in significant ways to development.  Her intercontinental experience has provided her with access to global best practices within her areas of expertise, and she applies these standards in her practice daily. 

Anita serves on the boards of the following organizations:

• Africa Infrastructure Solutions Limited, Non-Executive Director

• Vera Causa Realty – Executive Director

She has capabilities in real estate, mergers and acquisitions and expansion and growth across Africa and is a permanent consultant for an American technology software provider with a global reach. She is also an Independent Pension Funds Trustee for a number of funds and sits on a number of boards, advising in the areas of finance, technology and strategy.
